		<description>Upon hearing this extraordinary news, I made contact with MY Edinburgh contact, and he confirmed that it did indeed appear to snow at approximately 1100 hours. "A very small number of what appeared to be minute flakes were drifting around in all directions... including upwards". 

Rain never goes up.

Must have been snow.</description>
