Its taken longer than normal but its finally here, after the first half of January being very disappointing weather wise the temperature has now plummeted from the steady 12 – 15 degrees its been all week to 3 degrees or less. And today, the 21st of January we have the first snow of 2007 in Stocksbridge.
It started this morning with rain, and by dinner time it had worked up to sleet, then hail and with a perfect hail layer for snow to settle on it began. Snows been falling steadily most of the afternoon and its just about got a strong hold on the garden now, the shed and cars were first to fall, next the roads!
Not much else to say at the moment but from the weather reports I’ve seen for next week the temperature is supposed to keep falling and the weather get worse so it could be a bad week for commuters to work such as myself, however an indifferent week for all our affiliates who will no doubt be in bed dreaming of what extravagant things to spend their commission payments on as I dig my car out of a snow drift at 7 in the morning!
Ill post some nice scenic pictures tomorrow depending on how bad it gets.
