Well I got my hands on a brand new £20 note this weekend, came as a bit of a surprise as I didn’t even know we were having new ones, I thought the cash machine was having a laugh with me! Anyway is it just me that thinks these have a look and feel very similar to a euro note?
I wont go into it too much but I like the pound, GBP, Great British Pound – makes me feel all patriotic! And the symbol of the pound is £ a nice curly pound sign! On a keyboard its curly, when you write it its curly on existing notes its curly – its how its meant to be! Now the Euro symbol is € very plane basically a C with lines through it. On the new £20 there’s a pound sign on it in the middle that looks like its some sort of pound / euro cross breed!
