A mini update as I only started breaking the rules for a particular merchant an hour or so ago. From this campaign sales have now been made and commission generated, the brand is slightly more popular than I anticipated so I’ve upped my daily limit to $60 which I imagine will be gone by midday tomorrow. If I was going this for profit id have stuck it to $300 knowing full well id be making more, but as I don’t expect to be paid for these sales $60 a day is enough for me to lose!
What next? Firstly id like to think this is a fairly big client for the network, so id hope they have someone look at the account on a daily basis. So at some stage tomorrow a member of network staff will look at the account and see a new affiliate who’s account details just say that I will be running PPC campaigns generating a number of sales on a daily basis.
Now if I was that network staff member my first step would be to check the programme PPC terms (as I’ve said ill run PPC campaigns) and then check for any breaches. Again if I was the network staff id then find the ad and work out who it was, contact them and let them know they are in breach of the terms and let them know all sales will not be paid – however if I still want to work with the merchant I can do so within the rules.
Well lets see what happens tomorrow! Ill post any communication from the network and merchant, PPC costs, any sales made and anything else I find out along the way!
