Probably an exaggeration but it feels like it! To say Nov / Dec are the quietist times of month for travel there seems to have been a lot going on starting with the World Travel Market, Affiliate Future Travel Masterclass, a wedding, a week in Tenerife at the ABTA convention and next week a day at a TTA conference.
World Travel Market
A week in London travelling to and from the ExCel centre to meet some of the biggest companies in travel, got a few leads on the product distribution front, over indulged on good food & nice wine!
Affiliate Future Travel Masterclass
A good laugh, met a few people that I meet at most of the AF events and a few more which is always the aim. There were also a lot of people I saw on the delegate list who I didn’t get chance to speak to and when I tried to hunt them down they’d gone home early!
The Wedding
Not travel / online at all but was that good it deserved a mention! Best man – the most nerve wracking experience I’ve ever had but that’s it all done with now, hes hitched and one week into a lifetime sentence!
ABTA Convention
A massive gathering of travel agents / travel professionals talking about current issues and trends. From a ‘hot lead’ point of view not many, but sitting and listening to the big cheeses from the travel giants does get you thinking and its definitely given me a lot to think about.
