In a attempt to do this on a weekly basis following on from last weeks round up lets see whats happened over the past few days.
My Maplin order arrived, works fine just took a week longer than it should!
Some rather odd rumours reared their heads that Google were interested in buying Expedia. This did seem odd as everything else they’ve done or acquired is online and aimed at taking money off companies for advertising, not off customers for a holiday. Everything is now looking like it was an April fools joke, but as you can see below if it is an April fools joke its one that been welcome for Expedia’s share price.
Also in relation to google its share price back in November 07 peaked at $747.24 and then hit a low in March 08 of $412.11 – a fair drop!
The grand national ran yesterday and I had a fiver on Comply or Die which… won! Got just over £50 back on that, and as an added bonus I had the same horse in the office sweep so I shall be collecting another £40 on that tomorrow morning. Although with heavy snow falling I think a lot of superstitious money will have gone on Snowy Morning which came in third.
And on the topic of the weather, whats happening? Its April and we’ve had a few nice days, I’ve had the pleasure of driving home in the sun, even been warm enough to have the window down. And now we’ve got snow again which looks like it could continue on into next week.
