Surely double commission is a good thing? Well it is in one respect, but over the last week or so ive seen a number of merchant touting their double commission offers and I just think to myself – how?
Double commission = double the costs to the merchant. So for example M and M direct are running double commission (from 3% up to 6%) for new affiliate all through May. So are they willing to run at a loss on all new affiliates for a whole month, or are they just walking over their current affiliates with the 3%. If they can afford 6% why not pay 6%?
Looking at the percentages oh its only 3% on a low value product, its barely anything! It’s a 100% pay rise for someone that’s coming in late. How would you feel if you were at work doing a job for a year, someone new starts on double what your on! Crazy. Anyway I made my feelings clear here, im probably not massive for M and M but I sent them 47 sales last month. Have emailed Staphanie at the agency to see if we can work something out, will see what can be done.
