Well ive not blogged in a while but thought this was worth a bit off a mention, ill do my bit etc. Affiliate Window winner of the best network innovation award at the recent a4uAwards (sponsored by alpharooms I might add) & winner of the publishers choice of network have been a bit special.
Now as a merchant its hard, I want affiliate to make money, if they don’t make money then they wont promote us. I also want to save money, it’s a competitive world out there and margins are tight – I have people to answer to and the last thing I want to do is make the affiliate channel one so expensive its frowned upon. So where can the savings be squeezed from! Overrides.
Networks charge an override on commission, its how they make their profit and how they manage to fund their tracking changes, account support and general growth. So as a merchant I constantly want this lower, as a network they resist, its their profit after all, so wheres the compromise? Well is seems Affiliate Window earned their awards because they have taken the step to use their override, their money, to give affiliates more!
That’s right, rather than just saying no, no override cuts Mr Morley they’ve said yes, okay, well use the override we charge to offer your affiliates more commission! Now I don’t know about you, but that’s the sort of network I want to work with!
