It was the Affiliate Future travel event last night and all in all it was a good event. Spoke to a few guys and girls that I’ve met before which is always good but one of the things about the AF events compared to other is the mix of new people.
These daytime events they like to hold seem to attract people who might just be in the area, it seems hard to grasp but apparently all affiliates aren’t alcoholics and the days of the small meets in dark pubs with loud music at 8pm could be over!
We exhibited which is a bit different for us, we don’t usually whore ourselves about and are usually quite content with being quietly successful but for this we decided to, just so we could give some champagne away and make ourselves look generous. All in all we gave away 24 bottles of champagne (there really was no catch, it was a lucky dip, just take it!) and 2 of the new iPod Nanos.
The only slight annoyance was that while we were down there Kelkoo delivered a nice big Christmas hamper to the office which, from what ive heard was raped and pillaged by colleagues and all that remained when we got back was a jar of lemon curd!
