Interesting point raised. If I am feeling “lazy” and throwing up (pardon the expression) a quick product centered site then I often just stick to Amazon. People have accounts and trust the site. With one-click shopping you are never too far from a sale.

Others swear on the importance of doing the comparison but these days fussy buyers just go off to voucher code sites anyway so I’d rather just get the people who will buy straight from Amazon. And it’s so easy just to bung a widget on your site!

@Morley – Spot on, I saw your post and was impressed you didn’t self promote him onto alpharooms.

@Blogercise Amazon has great conversion rates, almost all travel sites can only dream about amazon style conversion rates but Amazon doesn’t sell travel inventory. Yet.
